Raimundo Martin, Cuban, 1936-
Raimundo Martin is a Surrealist Cuban artist. He was born in Sancti Spiritus Cuba in 1936. He entered San Alejandro School of Fine Arts in Havana 1954 and studied for four years. In 1960 he went to Mexico City studied ceramics with Amelia Pelaez and studied painting under modern master Rufino Tamayo at La Esmeralda School of Fine Arts. And he further studied in Madrid for several years and expanded his artistic vision. He painted abstract and surrealistic paintings. He enjoys the followings of loyal collectors of his paintings. Many institutions acquired his paintings. Viewers are pleasantly intrigued by surrealistic touch of Raimundo Martin.
