Cuban artist, Lisandra Ramirez, was born in Havana in 1988. Her work has been widely displayed, exhibited in galleries around the world. Her artwork explores various social topics including isolation, socialization, and the way society functions as a whole.
Her education first took place in Cuba where she graduated from both La Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes San Alejandro and the Instituto Superior de Artes in 2012. It was after graduation that she traveled to Spain where she received an education in bronze casting. Finally to add to her academic achievements, a course at the Tish School of Arts, part of the University of New York.
