Born in New York in 1943, Kiraly moved to Florida as a youth and later studied art at the University of Miami with John Clinkenburg and Eugene Massin. He left school early to pursue a passion for travel which led him around the world, eventually landing him in the Bahamas where he opened an art gallery. Moving to Key West in 1973, Kiraly began to paint studies of the architecture and plants that would lead him eventually to produce landscapes of distilled tropical realism. His work was well received.

In 1983 and again in 1984, Kiraly’s work was chosen to be exhibited in the Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach, nationally important shows that were juried by the directors of the San Francisco Museum of Art and The Whitney Museum respectively. He has been honored with numerous solo and group exhibitions, and feature articles. His works are in many private and corporate collections, in particular the collections of many well-known actors and actresses.
