Telling Tales

Tiffany spent many, many years with her husband and children in the Bahamas and Caribbean working and diving. She has a real affinity for the life and colorful rhythms of the Caribbean.

Every spring in childhood her family would visit the Bahamas. Eventually, she met and married her husband James, a rakishly handsome British subject who was a professional spear fisherman and whose parents were out-island doctors. They lived on boats, soaking up local culture and giving her a plethora of exotic scenes to paint.

Tiffany is fascinated by the local people, their naturalness and grace, the richness of their skin tones and bright clothes. She loved watching the local islanders going about their daily routines, the fishermen cleaning their catch down on the dock, the ladies hanging out their laundry, the children playing in the road, the chickens in the yard, the old ladies sitting on their porches chatting. These are the scenes that have inspired her to capture life and the charms of the islands.
Tiffany is a graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York City, where she developed a strong sense of composition and color. She has lived in South Florida since 1983.
